Actually I bought some of those Mooncoins because I think the name is just too awesome not to buy some. It's just for fun mainly, it's like playing poker for a bit of money. I also buy coins that have real potential, but those I don't play around with. I don't really think this is detrimental to Bitcoin, it actually creates a larger crypto community as a whole. Some entertainment is important too you know, it can't be serious business all the time if you want people to come and stay.
