I don't think I ever gave the wall observer thread enough of a look into before now also so maybe I shall try that (I think it was filled competely with spam at one point so it was pretty useless but it does have it's own moderator now so)...
You should visit that thread regularly.
. That thread is classic and most of the time discussions are funny as hell (sarcastic but hilarious hehehe). One thing though I noticed is that majority of people posting there doesn't carry any signature so probably that's the reason why people are giving merits as well.
