There appears to be some sort of coordinated FUD attack going on against Energi.
To the people calling us a scam for forking Dash, it seems you are misinformed about the cryptocurrency space.
Its extremely common and totally legal - the license terms explicitly grant this right. Dash itself is a fork of Bitcoin, and PIVX is a fork of DASH. In fact the vast majority of cryptocurrencies have forked other cryptocurrencies as a starting point. There are only a very rare few cryptocurrencies built from scratch.
In fact, it is not only common practice among open source, it is actually
encouraged to re use code to the greatest degree possible. This has many advantages including promoting modular design, not spending time reinventing the wheel, and promotes an overall higher quality of code as more developers have audited shared components.
There are almost NO software projects written from scratch for this reason. Even Microsoft Windows, MacOS, and nearly every other piece of software in existence utilizes open source components.
And just to reiterate:
Energi did NO ICO, no Premine, and waited for 160 days to start masternode rewards in order to have proper distribution of Energi coins.
