He can send you email from Tomatocage or Monbux that look convincing enough (except for the Gmail verification warnings).

Not sure if it is related to the original post but there is a definite scam attempt related to this thread. I was contacted on Telegram by a person that had no idea what he was doing or talking about and had a completely different story about these units than the OP. That person also deleted his account on telegram after I asked too many questions. OP, if this is legit, you might want to come in and reclaim your post and offer. otherwise, I wouldn't touch this thing with a hazmat suit on.
