I think I have saw a few websites in the past that allows a gamer to purchase a tournament slot with an entry fees in order to take part in a small tournament held on the website daily, and the players would play against each other until the winner is determine in the final round, the winner will be able to win a large portion of the total prize money which are the combined entry fees from all other participants.
It's like escrowing the funds in a certain tournament slot then scheduling the time of games. I think it would really be a good business idea to host something like that. In the end, after giving the major prizes, consolation prizes, venue, etc the organizer would still profit just from the entry fees itself.
There are many times I did that kind of bet, the most common one is playing sport, either its badminton or futsal, usually there will be a pot and winner takes all, its not much but it increase the fun and the seriousness of playing the game and back when I was in high school we like to play coin toss and the winner win the coin, I played a lot of this mini bet for fun and I seldom won, so it can be said that I am losing money from this mini bet
I'm not very familiar with futsal but I did a few searches on the internet and it is just like soccer (pardon me for not knowing). For badminton, I have played it too, sometimes competitively with friends, but I'm not that pro. Sometimes it involves waging money to buy food after every tournament we had. For the coin toss, that's going to be a quick and easy profit if you are lucky.
Hey yes I used to do it with my friends and sometimes with total strangers, we used to play counter strike back then and sometimes we gambled within our inner circle, and at times when we met new people we pitched them the idea and they joined in. When we were indoors we used to gamble on Fifa games on ps2 and Ps3, but those was back in the past now we stick to sports or casino bets. As for the money we made I won't call it a fortune, let's just say extra income to keep one going.
For me that was the idea of this post also, it's like an extra income that is not coming from my parents pocket (when I was still a young student) that wants to do something for myself. That's the time I learned that when you are really good at something, you have to take advantage of it. It was fun but it's totally different now especially that most of our circle of friends are working.
