Why are you mining RVN instead of what is the most profitable at the moment and then change it to RVN? It's a waste of money.
You mine RVN to support the network because you actually believe in the project. Short term financial loss on electricity and profit in other coins for long term gain in restructuring the inner workings of Wall Street and how people raise capital for real world business development.
No small time hobbiest actually makes the most money mining. The purely financially best move would be to buy the coins, not mine, and sell after they go up. But guess what if everyone did that? There would be no network. And the network matters. A lot. Why is BTC the coin with the highest value? Is it the best protocol? Hell no. Many new coins protocols are WAY better. BTC is the highest valued coin because it is the coin with the strongest network BY FAR.
So, why mine RVN? Because you want it to kick other coins asses over the _long_ haul. If you think RVN can be a top 20 coin by market cap then you should mine it to help MAKE that happen. If not, trade the parabolic spike and you can tell your grandkids you made $6,000.00 betting against the worlds stock market in 2018.
