Many governments are looking at this option. Since the blockchain is relatively new and is yet to prove itself through time, it's only wise for the governments to wait a little and watch how it evolves. At the moment, many researches are being carried out about ways to implement this seamlessly without causing a hitch.
This is true. Government must try other things that might help to improve the economy. It might be a not so good place to start gaining, but it is worth it. And if we talk about corruption, it is not really clear on how itmust be implemented, it needs to go thru different process to be understood.
That is something that would be possible if the government is actually looking to improve its economy and that would have a lot to do with those who are the main top officials in the country as that is how it would move downward to even the citizens.
However, let's take a look at the way some countries do their things, and even the leaders are nothing to write home about, I am not sure they will ever want blockchain technology to thrive, knowing how exposed they will be and the lesser it would be for them to do some activities without getting caught, when it comes to bribery and corruption.
That would be too much transparency for them I guess and which is something they may not find interesting unless we have some visionary leaders ready to lead the way.
