Is it normal that wallet syncing requires so many hours? 16.5h and counting
It is perfectly normal because some people were doing it for a day or even two days(of course, two days of time is for them who has a problem with their connection).
actually, you can sync it using their remote node if you do not have a time to sync it fully.
i used it today and only took 10 minutes to sync the wallet, but you need to do this whenever you are using your wallet.
It is taking a veeery long time to me too since I didn't log in for a while. I am a bit worried about this issue which could become a bottleneck in the whole project. After all, apart for us crypto-nerds, ordinary people want something which works well, easily and FAST. This being considered, we are still very far from mass adoption. X-cash team should work on making the user experience much much smoother.
For now there is no shortcut to overcome this problem, i believe it happened with other cryptocurrencies that was why until now only handful people who know something about at least computer can use it or operate it. but of course there will be a solution for this kind of problem in the future, because we never stop learning about something new or make a discovery.
and a problem with synchronization, most of it(project based on cryptonight) need a lot of space to download the chain from the beginning that was why most of them will give you a way to sync it using their remote node. so if you want to use it and do not have a lot of time to sync it, you can use remote node as your node.
it requires a few minute to fully syncronize your wallet, but of course you need to do this whenever you are using your own wallet.
