You don't have to worry about using idex, it is a legit decentralized exchange platform. But I suggest you to install metamask before using it, for safety reason purposes. This is much more safer than Fork/Etherdelta platform, because its not necessary to import your private key on the idex unlike in Fork/Etherdelta both are asking private key before you can able to use their platform.
