There are plenty of coins to hold long term. The question is what is your aim, how  long are you ready to hold?

Genarally speaking any working promissing project is profitable long term. My best choises are Eth, Bitclave (CAT) and Troy.

Anyway before investing in any alt do your own research, read the white paper carefully and be ready to wait. Good profit mostly requires time.
