Ethereum has a big name and is so well known that's almost impossible to defeat unless they make a huge mistake.

It is defeating itself. Ethereum has and will continue to implode as long as there is no reason for ICO project teams to build value for the investors, as tokens do not grant any ownership to the company and its assets, nor do they grant dividends, and even if there were, there is no ICO product out there making a profit.
The formation of Ethereum prices depends on the activity of ICO, it seems to me that another wave will soon begin and the price will rise too.
