Young people usually have hard time manage their emotion and have identity crisis. They will look for ways to solve their problem which could lead to negative things such as gambling, drugs and other kind of addiction.
Besides, most people especially young people usually don't think about potential problem or end result which makes gambling as something good.
Please let me know your opinion on this issue and if you have enough power, what would you do to solve this
Actively ask ISP to blocks all casino website, shutdown all physical casinos and forbid all activity that could be considered as gambling including video games loot-boxes/micro-transaction. While they could find way to bypass ISP blocks, i'm sure only people who've gambled before and addicted would go that far.
If you suspect that a loved one is addicted to gambling you do not need your ISP to block those websites you can do it yourself and block those sites in your computer or your router, most people do not have the technical knowledge to avoid the measures that you set up so they will be unable to access those websites but the issue is that now the world is filled with computers so unless they have a desire to stop gambling those measures are not going to work.
Because eventually they are going to find a way to avoid the steps you have taken by using a different computer and you will back at square one, so at best those steps can be used to gain time and nothing more but it is worth the try if you are desperate to help a friend.
