I would say its easier to outsource a lawyer then a good tech member who would be loyal to your company and your goal. For me its better their team focuses on this aspect and potentially outsource legal department.
I agree there are many ways of gatting lawyer that can help with the paper work but there are not that many good computer engineers especialized in this area without a job.
If you have ever seen the crypto hearings you would know the legal aspect of crypto is anything but paperwork.
Doubly so for new paradigms like STOs in this industry, especially since they will interact more with the traditional financial world while regulators, finance ministers and central bankers are trying to ring fence crypto to prevent any contagion risks. I am not making this up.
