Wow, it's not bad!  A couple of things though, you have the ratio wrong - you should crop it to a 3:2 ratio so when you size it as an avatar it is exactly 120X80 pixels - and I personally would not have used the opacity change because it reduces image quality.  Oh, also, I have the original¹; perhaps you meant the original kitty image?  I'm thinking about offering a 4 year apprentice program for would-be hatters which would of course include a minor in how to prevent erethism mercurialis.  I'm still working out the pricing details but of course, anyone graduating would be offered a position as a partner in my burgeoning, millinery empire.
