This is a noob question but i preferred publishing it here because it may requires a specific detailed answer.
When i looked for open-source forum softwares, i just found mainly two softwares SMF and phpBB, which i thought they are the different names for the same thing. I tried phpBB under BITNAMI and seems to be the same like SMF.
I want to know what are the principle differences between them and how to choose one.
