I see only 2 real competitors to Ethereum: Lisk and Waves. Both are platform coins, both are very fast and provide cheap transactions. And the most important is: there are already some successful ISOs on these platforms.
Waves really exceed etherium in some way (scalability, low commissions, programming language). But in reality, waves project is not competitor.
This is another example that only idea isnt enough. You need to be able to promote it to the masses.
