I'm thinking we need to start having the ability of issuing demerits for particularly egregious posts. Say at a 3:1 conversion ratio. 3 merit points required to issue 1 demerit against someone.

Yeah, of course.
That would work out really well in practice. I know that some members are so vindictive, emotional, and insecure that they would spend 10 of their smerits just to take away one merit from another member. Great idea, blawb
