Without getting into my reasons of why I or someone else wouldn't want particular miners on braiins (few cards hashing at 5+k TH/s... mmk). Anyways, the miner can just be restarted and bring back the gui as well as cgminer. Reinstall isn't going to help thwart off the original issue of downgrading back to bitmain firmware.
i agree, rollback to bitmain fw should work flawlessly, otherwise you get bricked device and need somehow to restore fw.
pretty interesting, after installing brains os, one of my S9 shows ~100 C temp however board temp is normal, anybody faced same issue?
