Ban appeals - read the threads on the Meta board.

Meta has a constant flow of ban appeals, and complaints about mod action in deleting posts and threads. Most of these seem to come from new(er) members who have joined because they have been told that they can find easy money here. They don't seem to bother to find out much about the forum, or about the earnings potential. They just seem to believe that all you need to do is to flood the boards with word streams for the money to start to flow. This is not the case, and if you read some of the threads on the Meta board (link below) you will see how many have lost the ability to earn here as a result of breaching the rules.

Before you start to post, read the rules in the sticky threads at the top of the various boards, and then have a look through the threads created by the members who didn't read the rules. Failure to do this can result in a personal ban, and this can prevent you ever earning any money from your activities here. The most significant breach is plagiarism, and this is the theft of other people's work. You can't copy articles and claim them as your own original work, and this includes translation into another language. So many people seem to think that it is sufficient to apologise if you get caught, but that doesn't work here. If you get cught, and you are almost certain to be discovered, then you will be banned for life, and there is no appeal.

If you aren't sure about a rule, it is better to ask, than to risk being banned. You are welcome to ask questions in this thread, and I have made it self-moderating to avoid spambie posting.
