That's odd. Why do you expect crypto will bring to you monthly profit?
Indeed it might in long term, there are ways for you to mine some cryptocurrencies just for having a balance but this is not the point.
Do not invest what you can't afford to lose.
I believe he's looking for some form of dividend, in which he can invest with cryptos.
ICOs/companies are technically an option, but I'm not entirely sure I'd trust those (there's been quite a few bad stories lately). You can also maybe look into investing w/ casinos, but again I'm not entirely sure on the profitability on that.
Purely based on speculation, Bitcoin itself may be considered an investment. But there's no definitive yield on that. You may or may not profit.
