lol, ya think? I heard stuff arriving often with dust o the blades and dirty...
just saying...it is Bitmain. All that stuff they announced one day and shipped the next week...where do you think it came from? B3, A3, decred etc?
I like the never to ROI 7nm BTC miners they launched today. With a 27.6% tariff and import fees to the USA
never to ROI within a year current or sideways BTC prices.
The saying is: If you are buying ASIC equipment and hoping that your crypto of choice will pump to cover your equipment bet...you are better off just hodl'ing the crypto!
I wonder how long till the scrypt pow (LTC) version is out?
Also, these new 7nm BTC miners use a LIVE buss bar and PSU is attached on the side....thus no way to use all those previous Bitmain PSU and leads anymore...
so there is that also

Considering these units are likely used units with previous use, there's definitely the chance that some units may be a bit dusty and need cleaning, though Bitmain has proven us wrong in the past and they've shipped out well-cleaned machines or machines with low use hours. The tariff does kill the break-even period in the United States where I unfortunately live like you said; I love mining, but at this moment it's either I get GPUs and mine with those or just buy and hold with the fees on top of the shipping costs and all.
The new design definitely doesn't bode well for future miners, and I wonder if Bitmain PSU prices on the secondhand market will drop as a result of this. I personally think there's a very high chance any future Scrypt miners will use a similar form factor to the S/T15s, but only time can tell.
