Take a look at the following  thread to see the different types of available wallets and their advantages/disadvantages: Bitcoin Wallets - Which, what, why?. I personally prefer hardware wallets such as Ledger Nanos S (although it costs around 100$/100€ now).

I haven’t taken a look at Exodus before. I don’t know why you consider it an off-line solution. It’s a software wallet, and as such, much more vulnerable than a hardware wallet (even their support page states it to make it crystal clear - https://support.exodus.io/article/45-can-exodus-safely-store-large-amounts).
