    The Columbus Blue Jackets are not thrilled by their mediocre 9-8 start to the year, but they are happy that they are currently atop the Metro Division standings by one point over the Flyers. The Metro may be the weakest division in the league and that has allowed the Jackets to be on top at the moment. The Dallas Stars have been searching for consistency as well, and they come in having lost three of their last four, after winning five of their previous six. Dallas is also 9-8 on the year, but because they are in a much tougher division, they are in 3rd place and six points out of first. The Blue Jackets won the first meeting at home by a score of 4-1.
