Anything can possibly happens here because no one can predict the future of cryptocurrency. The flow on it's price is hard to control also so probably there is a chance for Litecoin to be the next of Bitcoin. But since it is just a rumors, I think it is far away to happen because Ethereum is getting better as of now.
