It is quite possible with the development of the bitcoin blockchain. It is very convenient for transactions comparable to fiat ones. But it requires time and positive attitude from governments, in order to build infrastructure and become widely used. But it is rather an utopian scenario for bitcoin. The government won’t surrender their power to the decentralized financial system. That’s why, perhaps, it is better to use bitcoin as an alternative currency.
