I think the confusion here is due to Google Translate changing the word 'beacon' to 'lighthouse' in some languages. Basically we are using the term to mean "a visible object serving as a signal, warning, or guide".

Pretty much. Basically anybody has the ability to place a beacon wherever they like and other Triffic Users will get notified if they visit the same area. Each beacon can be set to hold GPS Tokens and release them based on parameters like
- buying a product from the location - eg: 'Spend $5 on pizza'
- liking something on Facebook or Twitter
- whatever...
