The world is changing. Old specialties are no longer needed, new types of work appear. Institutions must keep abreast of the times and give young people the new specialties that are needed and in demand today.
I do not think that the old specialties are no longer needed, they are also in demand as new ones.
In my country, in some institutes, still such professions are obtained that have long been automated and, accordingly, no one is needed in practice. Something new always appears, and the old becomes unclaimed.
Some of the old specialties will still be used in our technological time: teachers, doctors, pharmacists, accountants, drivers, builders. Just new students will already receive new knowledge.
