I'm not sure it's a new coin like OP said, or maybe I misunderstood it. I did a quick Google search and based on their website,
https://virternity.com/virie it's a payment system "designed to become the economic foundation of the shared, mixed reality of the Virternity space". Also, why few people heard about it is because I don't think they've launched it yet. Explains why there's not a lot of content about it yet.
