In a new report where Forrester Research says that the word "blockchain" for some companies is now being replaced with the abbreviation DLT - distributed ledger technology. The word, though not so memorable, but partially describes the essence of the technology.

I think that these words will, in any case, be used in the community, as they have already thoroughly entered into our slang.

What do you think?
Will blockchain disappear?
It will not disappear for sure. It may not have all the usage we have right now, we use blockchain in many stuff, specially ethereum blockchain is used in many places for many different type of companies and I feel like it would be exactly like internet dotcom bubble.

At the end there will be companies who go soaring into technological monopoly and be giants of the world just like apple, amazon and so forth came out stronger from that dotcom bubble. Some companies will die off into the sunset never to be seen again whereas some blockchain companies will be huge in their sectors. I feel like those huge big companies already exist right now but we just don't know which ones.

For example, the owner of cryptokitties the dapper labs could make some new games as well and become the blockchain gaming giant in the future. Same could happen in many different blockchain companies.
