Scams unfortunately are inevitable, therefore, before you invest or get involved with a project do your research and then do more research. There are a few topics on here how to spot a scam, what questions to ask before investing and so on. Definitely try to get to know who the team is behind the project and ask all the questions you might have from the team and of course, if in doubt or even if not, talk to your fellow forum pals. I'm sure you have a lot of people here with a lot of experience and some of them are very good in spotting scammers from miles away
