Will he think he has not done everything possible to continue the development of his project?
No, he will think that the Bitcoin as it was designed will have a very long life, regardless of its value, the world will sooner or later open its eyes, blockchain technology would have no way of existing without Bitcoin.

When I first met Bitcoin in 2010 I was fascinated right away, but at the time I was not aware of having come across something really extraordinary, now I am for a few years, and sincerely when I hear some people talking about Bitcoin...no comment.
I hope that one day ignorance no longer reigns supreme.
