In any case, if you feel that Ethereum is old technology and you want to find something similar, I'd suggest one of the oldest projects which however is less known than the pumped coins: ARK (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1649695.0).
They're upgrading to v2 this week and after that they'll start marketing, right now they didn't want to advertise too much because v1 was limited in many aspects.

PS: I hold both Ethereum and ARK, but personally I prefer ARK.
