The world has lots of people who do nasty things just as you pointed out "killing for horns" I live in the mountains of Massachusetts where there are tons of hunters who feed their families with the meat. There are lots of poachers here too. Alot of people don't realize the impact of poaching.

I am a hunter myself and I we eat everything I get. Although since my injury it has been rare that I can hunt. We live in rural in the woods by my in-laws farm and we are constantly having to report and run off poachers. It's crazy that some people just kill to kill. Maybe take horns and leave the rest of the deer. It's sad and unethical.
Manebjorn, Hunting is completely understandable and have no problems at all with hunters. I do appreciate your input on this being a hunter yourself and understanding the problems with poaching.That's why I asked where it was harvested and such.
There are lots of sales from individuals on ebay for venison and other wild game jerky. It's difficult to know what is legit and what is not.
