EMPIRE SCORE is the basis for how the tax is divided up from each sale.

The higher your score, the bigger cut of land tax you'll receive.

For every plot of land you add to a new card you receive 100 points (E.g. Buy a card with 10 plots and that card starts out worth 1000 EMPIRE SCORE).
