I think both the bitcoin and blockchain can survive in the long run... As both have some key features that can transform the world... Also, with a greater audience and mass adoption, both will have to work concurrently.

Blockchain is the technology using which lot of crypto coins are invented and came into market hence the growth and demand for blockchain will be more in future. Blockchain makes market ease,competitive and have lot of features which is required for the crypto market.
