Bitcoin and digital currencies keep making headway despite the Fud, and mainstream news' headwinds (Very very windy indeed, what a pong!  ), Btc goes through price cycles, we're in a trough but best to keep in mind that continual improvements to the protocol have been added and are ongoing as well as adoption and mkt/societal penetration continues.
Vorhees makes a good point in relation to public faith in fiat might well take a shake in the next recession/depression. That'll likely drive up use and crypto valuations.
