It is possible to assume that it was a mistake on the part of the user and the account can be unlocked. The solution remains with administrators or global moderators. But I still don't understand how you could have made a mistake.
It happen with me one time, when you have a long quote pyramid and you try to respond from your phone/in my case/ sometimes you scroll down and you see a few empty lines and decide, OK here is the end of the message, but what actually happen is someone of the commenting has used the Enter a bit too much and you have 2-3 breaks which seems like the end of the message.
You just write there and in the mean time someone else have posted before you and you get a warning but you post your post anyway. Then you go and read the post before you and just forget to check yours.
What saved me in my case was the fact that I remove the irrelevant quotes from message, but I have deleted one opening quote tag too much, so there was one closing tag left. This tag saved my ass.
It happens some times, I'm sure i'm not the only one.
