It's all a matter of timing and more importantly when you'll enter and exit a certain investment. Same as with every other investment - equities, commodities, real estate, etc.
On the way up, if you entered at 14K and sold at 19.2K that would be a good return.
On the way down, if you entered at 14K then held all the way down, then you were not able to quickly decide when to cut loss.
Last scenario is more difficult to swallow, entered at 14K, saw 19.2K then didn't decide to get out at 17K and held all the way down.
The market will recover, it just might take years now and not months like some people are always saying.
