On most exchanges where you can only go long, then it may be a bad idea if you believe the market is falling.
However, on derivative exchanges where you can actually make money going short, then it’s ALWAYS a good time to trade as long as you pick the right direction of the market.

LevelTradingField.com has a derivative exchange to trade perpetuals on BTC, BCH, ETH, LTC, XMR, and XRP
The BTC contract is only on 1/10 of a BTC so the wild swings are not as bad for retail traders that trade a one lot.

Requires a full KYC/AML process though. Signup for a free account on LevelTradingField.com to watch the market. When you are comfortable that you can trade proficiently then send email to info@leveltradingfield.com to begin the trading account onboarding process.
Another good option, as it seems to me, may be the new exchange  https://medium.com/velvet-exchange. They have not yet started, but they are already spreading their analytics on the market. I hope the exchange functionality will be full

It's really good news. I really like what the developers of the velvet exchange are planning to do. This is a good chance for newbies to find all the answers. And also here it will be possible to customize everything as you like.
