Interesting. The game is relatively new yet appealing to the eyes. If by anyway it becomes popular, then it'll gain traction the same way Ethereum-based games do. It seems to me that there are more Ethereum games than Bitcoin games, since it's much simpler to code a smart contract with its own NFT (Non-Fungible Token). CryptoKitties was the first (if not, one of the first) game to make use of NFTs to deliver something unique to the public. This has resulted in massive adoption and popularity of both the game and the Ethereum blockchain. The same way could happen with Bitcoin, if a "killer" game is released which makes use of the Lightning Network or the RootStock sidechain.
A LN-based game will be completely different, as it requires each transaction to be send through your wallet again. I see great possibilities for LN for casino's, where an (near) instant deposit can send your winnings back to your wallet within seconds, but not for games that use bots to play on a website.
