We've always had the media covering bitcoin and cryptos so that's nothing new, sometimes we read articles spreading bitcoin obituaries and fud, sometimes we read bullish articles talking about how the price will shoot up very soon.

It's hard to say if we're ending the year on a good note, simply because the market sentiment is bearish and prices just keep going down, also, not everyone expected to see such low prices at the end of the year, I'd say the only ones who are pleased with how the year ended are those who were waiting to buy cheap btc to hold for the long-term.
