This thread has been created back in Nov 2014, so its basically 4 years old. Alot could change in 4 years.
My guess is back in 2014, the admin was single and now he most likely is married with 2 kids and doesn't have the free time anymore for this site. From the discussions here, he isn't scamming anyone, just makes you wait a very long time to get your withdraw to get sent.
This reminds me of a vehicle a friend of mine has bought, he bought a vehicle with a bad transmission and it actually came with a replacement transmission with the deal. The guy asked why don't you just install the new transmission and sell it that way, and he said he had a bunch of kids and has virtually no free time anymore.
So this is my guess what is going on with the admin.
So you are saying that 7months of inactivity of site owner where no one knows exactly what situation he is currently in (dead or alive), can't even open bitcointalk.org on his browser's URL bar is just busy with family? If he is the president of the United States I would understand he can't get online for months but in this case I'm pretty sure its not just because of his/her family
Yes I agree with you, he should just close down the site if he doesn't have time to maintain it. However I am pretty sure he still makes good money with it and doesn't want to part with it.
This happened in the past many times, eventually by reading this thread I think most people got their withdraws, even if it was a few months later.
Most of the issues stem from the XMR daemon, I am guessing that since the V8 hard-fork a few months back, he still didn't update his server and that's why its offline.
With BCH, its the same story due to the SV split. He probably wants to implement some type of replay protection before sending out BCH payments incase the SV fork ends up flippening and then he might lose the more valuable fork.
