There is so much potential for these altcoins, especially when it can serve as a great financial tool, in general. For instance, I came across the Virie Market (it’s token is called Virie). It is basically a comprehensive financial instrument as it also comes complete with an escrow system, and exchanges can be made without a broker. It also puts a premium on privacy. You don’t need to disclose your identity or the purpose of the payments and you can transfer any sum without providing anyone with any data. And this seems to be just one aspect of a much larger project. So yeah.. I agree that altcoins have a bright future and could prove to be better than bitcoin
