The collapse may last for at least Q2-Q4 2019, or it may take even more, but it doesn't necessarily mean the market will go down essentially compared to where it's now. $3000 is a good option to buy with a goal of 3-5 years.
You are right about the recovery time, could also stretch over a longer period of time, even into 2020. As for the price, it may be going to $3000 or not, you will never know where is the bottom or the top, is very hard to hit one of it, this is why you need to buy all the way down when you want to accumulate or sell all the way up when you want to take profits.
