I wonder if this has been used with the Baikal BK-240 cryptonight asic miner by anyone successfully???

For our software no matter what the manufacturer is, the main thing is that the software supports the algorithm you need.

Does it mean that Minerboard supports specific algorithm on asic as well as on gpu?

Almost. Some of algorithm is supported only by asic or GPU on minerboard.

What algorithms exactly do you mean in mind?

Cryptonight is now available only on gpu.
