Ethereum was probably killed by ICOs. ICOs discourage investors, have negative impact on Ethereum, because ICOs are selling Ether tokens to get cash.
Also many ICOs are not allowed in the USA and China and I am afraid that they will ban the whole Ethereum platform. Because for what is Ethereum good for? For ICOs, gambling and Dapps like Cryptokitties.
