Yes.  And it will increase.  By a lot.  And for a long time.

For as much public development that is going on, there is likely more going on in private that we don't know about.

It seems like a race between corps and govs to co-opt the market versus private developers working to decentralize everything and cut out the parasitical corps and govs.

The corps and govs appear to be winning currently:
1.) Finding profits in such an illiquid market that is abused every day to create negative sentiment is like picking up pennies in front of a steamroller.
2.) The corps and govs are working furiously to keep the magic number of crypto-enthusiasts below 13% of the population to prevent a consciousness awakening of the masses.
3.) The money men hold the majority positions in the markets so they control the ups and down at their leisure.

While I have ultimate faith in humanity, I fear in the near term and suspect the wild ride has just begun.  I still believe calling winners is way too early in this game, thus the best way to capitalize on crypto in this life is to gather as much as you can and hold for at least 3 to 5 years, maybe longer if necessary.

Monetary history shows a vacillation between rock and paper.  We are currently heading away from paper and towards rock again.  In these modern times of the Internet, to think that crypto won't play a major role in the transition is missing the big picture, in my opinion.
