Exactly, its mostly because Bitcoin is the first coin and because it is trending on all news, sites and so on.. Did you hear any major news in TV mention so much Ethereum or XRP than bitcoin ? 
Yes, I very often heard about ETH, but I haven't heard anything about XRP. If I lived in the USA, I think that I would hear something about XRP, so I'm sure that today it is better to invest in cryptocurrency
