It's actually my wife's reaction when she sees the next one that has me staying up all night scared as hell. I just fired up a new scrypt miner and we live in Kalifornia with $0.34/kWh rates....
I get charged about 0.25 euro cent per kWh, so i really do feel your pain.
I actually moved into a new place when i started mining, direct debit set up for monthly payments for normal household use.
It's basically like taking a Loan from the electric company for a year until they come take my meter reading and make me pay up.
By the time i actually have to pay hopfully BTC is worth more. All the electricity i used when mining with Avalon machines certainly does not not equate the same amount of bitcoin to pay now as it did then
