i mentioned this months ago but i would love to hear news on whether their 3,000 watt power supply will deliver all 3,000 watts when run on a single US power circuit (120 volt) as that seems like a lot to expect out of a US power outlet, and i worry that the power supply might max out at 1800 watts when used in the US.
In North America most 15A circuit breakers are rated to carry no more than 80% of their nominal load rating on a continuous (3 hours or more) basis. This typically means 1440W (120V x 15A x 80%). Running an 1800W load on such a circuit would trip the breaker within a few minutes.
It is quite rare to see 100% load rated circuit breakers. But if the difference between 1440W and 1800W is the difference between running and not running, the breakers are easy enough to swap out.
